Created Issue: Problems in the intallation with the command stsadm [11334]

Hi.

I'm trying to install RIC, but I have had some problems... The last problem was related to the stsadm command. In the Install log I got the following message:
CAQuietExec: stsadm -o createwebapp
CAQuietExec: -adminurl -url -port -name -description -template -user -password -email
CAQuietExec: Error 0xfffffffe: Command line returned an error.

I thought it can be due to the fact that stsadm wasn't in the path of the machine, so I added and tryied again, but I had the same error.

Please help me.

Hi, I'm having some issues with actually just getting RIC to install.

At the moment I'm struggling with a template issue , I get " The
template you have chosen is invalid or not installed "
in the log file.
This is directly after the installation of the AdminWebApp.

Using the STPInspector I was able to confirm some templates are missing
in my system. I have already install
all updates proposed in the install doc, and the application template
core to no avail.

Any suggestions or help will be truly welcome.

is the fully-qualified path of the SharePoint Server 2007 Server’s Web.config file for the central admin web site or are we to create a new web application for the RIC framework?

sometimes port number of central admin is different with actual directory structure ( for accessing web.config file of central admin provide full path e.g. c:\inetpub\wwwroot\wss\virtualDirectories\[CentralAdminPortNumber]\web.config)

I have found that when you log onto mysite you are forced to log in again when opening a project. This shouldn't happen and you should be able to access the project page directly - This issue is not consistent and easily repeatable. Once you have logged in to a project then you obtain access to all the other projects you may have without having to log in again.

Both my site and project site are hosted on seperated web application.
Advantange here is we get more scalability, multiple login issue can b resolved using single sign on

or by moving project site and my site on same web application but keeping content database different.
for that instead of using "createsite" stsadm command, use "CreateSiteInNewDB"

When saving references to the repository it would be better not to be able to select your own title as collaborators may not have the same naming convention style. A standard style as with bookmarks would be better. Reference names would be better named by using title , first author surname and year like other reference managers. This could be provided from the metadata from the document.

Repository display: Layout is missing, Repository entries misaligned with background, Display Options should be displayed below the search textbox - this is distorted (Displayed after the save query button in same line), Search in Review literature - Nothing is displayed, General Layout -Distorted, Saved Queries is not displayed as expected, On "Documents For Dissemination" webpart the modify web part is working in different manner, References Table display is not correct, When alert me is clicked on the file it is displaying an error Calendar functionality Expand All and Collapse all are not working, Experimentation tasks in Experimentation - Assign to is not working, Repository When repository is clicked the sublinks are displayed out of range, Your Logo, Functionality not known. Presently it is diverting to the Team site home page, Project Library in Repository. When Annotate is clicked in project library it is showing an error, New post in Discussions.
